A-SQUARE FIGHT CLUB YOUTH BOXING PROGRAM
Our Boxing Team was founded in 2006, certified by USA Boxing Inc. the governing body of amateur boxing in the USA. Our coaches are all volunteers. Team members are taught Olympic-style boxing, mental/physical discipline, self esteem, sportsmanship, education, fair play, camaraderie, and the importance having drug-free friends in a healthy environment.
The Boxing Team’s goals and objectives are to cultivate kids with the qualities mentioned above and to teach them how to apply those attributes to real life. By entering our boxers in tournaments and shows out-of-town, they have the opportunity to represent this community and meet people from different parts of our country and the world. Our after school hours and weekends provide alternative activity and will lessen their chances for a negative encounter with the law.
Law enforcement and judicial officials will tell you that "Amateur boxing is an excellent alternative to juvenile delinquency." We have re-established youth boxing here in the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti area.  With this intervention/prevention program for youth we support amateur boxing as an alternative to anti-social behavior.  A-Square Fight Club strives to enhance and/or develop a positive self-image in each individual.
We are committed to changing the lives of troubled youth. Also let’s keep the ones that are already on the right path occupied with positive things to do. We also want our youth to implement positive, lifelong change.  We provide an environment that is structured, challenging, goal-oriented, physically and emotionally safe. We work on short and long-term reachable goals for each individual participant.
We don't believe that a change of address is enough. Let’s work together with our children for their tomorrow. Today’s athletes will be tomorrow’s Champions and Leaders.
